Hyperliquid Asset Under Management Hits $6.2 Billion After Record $395M Single-Day Inflow.

EMCryptohub: Hyperliquid AUM
  • Hyperliquid asset under management surged with $395 million, reaching $6.2 billion.

  • Hype is testing resistance around $48, and a breakout will set off a rally to a new all-time high.

In a significant development, Hyperliquid has experienced a massive uptick in assets under management. Over the past day, it saw massive inflows into assets, including Bitcoin and Ethereum, with stablecoins taking charge. Could this AUM uptick boost HYPE rally to a new all-time high?

Hyperliquid Hits $6.2B AUM.

Hyperliquid (+Unit) has reached a historic milestone, with assets under management (AUM) hitting approximately $6.2 billion, surpassing the $6 billion mark for the first time in its history. This surge was fueled by a record-breaking net inflow of $395 million on August 13, marking the exchange’s largest single-day deposit in three weeks.

Over the past three weeks, the network experienced moderate to mild income fluctuations. However, the trend reversed on August 13, when income spiked and stands out dramatically, dwarfing all prior activity. This sharp liquidity boost suggests a sudden influx of high-value traders or institutional capital, significantly deepening the exchange’s market depth.

USDC Dominates Deposits

The recently witnessed record-breaking inflow was driven mainly by $304 million USDC, accompanied by approximately $47.6 million in ETH, $24.6 million in BTC, and smaller contributions from other assets, including PUMP, FART, and SOL.

The dominance of USDC deposits signals that much of this liquidity is in stable, ready-to-deploy form, likely for market-making or leveraged trading activities.

When stablecoins dominate, it's a good sign in the market. It could be interpreted as bullish because it's what is deployed into the market to accumulate other crypto assets, such as Bitcoin or altcoins.

What this means for Hyperliquid

Importantly, a  higher assets under management means tighter spreads and reduced slippage for large orders. At the same time, it also indicates a massive demand for the asset from institutions. Institutional interest is a major boost for asset capital inflow and sustained growth. Equally, significant USDC inflows are often linked to professional traders and funds entering the market.

Additionally, such a capital injection could lead to higher open interest and increased trading volumes in the short term. Therefore, if this pace continues, Hyperliquid could be on track to break further volume and open interest records, positioning itself as one of the most competitive players in the derivatives trading space.

Did it have an impact on HYPE?

Besides, Hyperliquid's assets under management, its native token HYPE, have also made significant gains. Over the past week, Hyper was trading within an ascending channel rising from $35 to $48.

Currently, HYPE is testing a major resistance around the previous ATH of $49. If the pace we have seen from the 13th holds onto the market, HYPE will break $49 resistance and make a new high. However, if the retracement witnessed on daily charts continues, we will see the altcoin drop towards $42. Therefore, HYPE's net move solely depends on increased capital inflow. If more capital flows, we will see a jump to primary price levels as asset values grow.
