Plasma’s launch marks a new chapter for stablecoins. By combining $2B in liquidity, Chainlink’s real-time data, and DeFi integrations, it’s setting the stage for the next wave of global, stablecoin-powered financial applications.

Plasma launches with Chainlink.

Plasma, a new layer one blockchain purpose-built for global stablecoin payments, has officially launched with Chainlink as its exclusive oracle infrastructure provider. By integrating Chainlink CCIP, Data Streams, and Data Feeds from the start, Plasma is unlocking secure, real-time payments and seamless cross-chain connectivity to more than 60 blockchain networks.

The integration includes joining the Chainlink SCALE program, which is designed to accelerate ecosystem growth by giving new blockchains access to enterprise-grade oracle services at launch. With more than $2 billion in stablecoin liquidity ready, Plasma aims to become the foundational infrastructure for global stablecoin adoption.

A Blockchain Purpose Built for Stablecoins

Unlike general-purpose chains, Plasma is explicitly engineered to meet the needs of stablecoin transactions. It offers zero-fee transfers, customizable gas tokens, and confidential payments, all while supporting high-throughput, low-cost transactions at a global scale.

The network is EVM-compatible, making it easy for developers to deploy existing DeFi protocols and stablecoin applications without rebuilding from scratch. Use cases include on-chain remittances, micropayments, and cross-border transfers, all powered by fast and reliable data infrastructure.

“Stablecoins are one of the most important use cases in crypto. Plasma is building the infrastructure for this global financial system, and we are thrilled to join Chainlink Scale and adopt Chainlink’s data and interoperability standards,”

Said Paul Faecks, Founder and CEO of Plasma.

“With Chainlink, we can scale our onchain ecosystem, strengthen our stablecoin rails, and bring mainstream adoption closer to reality.”

Chainlink Powers Real-Time Data and Interoperability

Plasma’s integration with Chainlink Data Streams ensures developers can access low-latency, sub-second market data, ideal for powering real-time payments and high-frequency settlement. Meanwhile, Chainlink Data Feeds, which already secure over $100 billion in DeFi, provide tamper-resistant reference prices for stablecoin pairs and collateralized applications.

The adoption of Chainlink CCIP (Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol) gives developers a future-proof foundation for building secure cross-chain apps. CCIP enables seamless stablecoin transfers and messaging across 60+ blockchains, backed by Chainlink’s battle-tested decentralized oracle networks (DONs), which have secured tens of trillions of dollars in on-chain value.

“By adopting the Chainlink standard and joining the SCALE program, Plasma is demonstrating how new layer 1 networks can launch with enterprise-grade stablecoin infrastructure from day one,”

Said Johann Eid, Chief Business Officer at Chainlink Labs.

Aave Goes Live on Plasma at Launch

To kickstart ecosystem growth, Aave, the world’s largest liquidity protocol, is live on Plasma from day one, leveraging Chainlink CCIP and Data Feeds. Aave currently secures more than 70% of all stablecoins in DeFi, and its integration brings deep liquidity and established use cases to Plasma’s high-throughput network.

“Stablecoins are foundational to DeFi’s growth. Bringing Aave’s deep liquidity to Plasma alongside Chainlink’s leading oracle infrastructure unlocks instant, low-cost stablecoin movement and secure cross-chain connectivity for real-time payments and next-generation finance,”

Said Stani Kulechov, Founder & CEO of Aave Labs.

Accelerating Global Stablecoin Adoption

With Chainlink’s oracle infrastructure and Aave’s liquidity, Plasma is positioned as a serious contender in the stablecoin and payments ecosystem. Developers now have access to a stablecoin-optimized environment, real-time data, and reliable cross-chain tools all from day one.

CCIP’s modular compliance and risk management features, such as Token Developer Attestation, customizable transfer policies, and decentralized validation, make it flexible enough for both Web3-native teams and traditional institutions.
